Every activity organised by the Impact Team benefits people in developing countries. Make it Count!

We offer people who would like to share their skills, but can only 'escape' for a couple of weeks, the chance to enjoy a holiday and have an impact.

We organise events which provide fun, entertainment and challenges whilst raising money for Agapao International.

We offer bespoke programmes available in:

  • Personal development
  • Leadership
  • Youth & community development
  • Corporate team building

Impact Artists are available to work with individuals and communities in a creative way using art, IT and multi-media.

Based in Rossendale, the Centre is a resource for individuals, communities and corporates to develop their skills through the Impact Team. It is also the home of Rossendale Radio, The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, HomeStart Rossendale, Community Solutions Lancashire and Catch22.

Agapao Stories

Agapao International empowers Community Development Managers through training and personal development, working closely with them to enhance their skills. The CDM's are chosen based on their ability to assess community needs, identify leaders and solutions then implement change through motivation and enthusiasm.

The CDM's visit villages and communities and train Community Development Volunteers.

They then work with their own community and if they embrace the opportunity, a partnership agreement is discussed and the community is nominated to receive a Community Impact Kit.

Opportunities exist for volunteers to share their skills on an 'Impact Holiday' or for longer term visits in developing countries.

Agapao International can support people with training and ideas to improve conditions for thousands of people in their own community. By providing a 'CIK' start, a whole community can be mobilised and empowered to be self-sufficient in a sustainable way.

Agapao provides start-up support for community initiatives to improve and share skills, combat lethargy and ill health and encourage self-sufficiency through income generating projects. Each community impact kit consists of:

  • £75 = 3 PREGNANT GOATS: the opportunity to learn animal care and generate an income
